Hi, I'm Dr. Bree Nishibun PT, DPT

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy originally from Chicago, where I developed a strong foundation in movement, athletics, and patient care. I earned my degree from Northwestern University, where I was trained to think critically about how the body moves, adapts, and recovers. Early in my career, I realized that great rehab isn’t just about reducing pain, it’s about helping people get back to doing the things that make them feel like themselves.

That mindset is what brought me to San Diego. I wanted to live in a place where movement is part of everyday life, and to work with people who value staying active, whether that means training in the gym, getting back to sport, or simply moving without limitation. My practice is built around that population: active adults who aren’t willing to settle for “just rest” or generic rehab.

..

I run a one-on-one, out-of-network practice focused on intentional, exercise-based care. Every session is tailored, collaborative, and designed to build capacity, not just manage symptoms. I emphasize education, progressive loading, and long-term independence, so you understand your body and feel confident continuing beyond our sessions. Whether you’re recovering from surgery, working through an injury, or looking to perform at a higher level, my goal is simple: help you move better, get stronger, and stay active for the long run.

My Activities: Barbell/Kettle Bell Training, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Outdoor Climbing, Bird Photography, old college soccer player
